America Expands (4/2)

by Rachael Crovo

Oil prices expand and so does America’s waistline. Let’s back up. As of May 8 the gas price went up to one hundred and $125 a barrel, or around $3.50 a gallon.
If these prices go up anymore, Americans will not want to drive to places they would normally want to go to, because they will not have enough money to pay to fill the gas tank. Since American’s can not pay for gas, that forces them to sit home like I did a few days ago, feet up, a bag of chips next to me and the DVD clicker in my hand.
If we do this everyday, it will cause fat America to get even fatter, which isn’t a good thing it should be a healthy nation, so stop this madness and find other ways to get around, ride a bike, rollerblade, walk, run, jog, or skip, just don’t waste your money on gas because soon these prices will be going up even move.

A start. This is a good lede, peg and isue, but not a lot of comment on the issue. MORE! Get you opinion across, don't just do this to get it done; do this to make a statement on the world.
